The seminar BZF II – Radio Operator's License with Limited Validity offers participants a comprehensive introduction to the necessary knowledge and skills in aviation radiotelephony communication. This specialized seminar is aimed at pilots and student pilots who wish to obtain a restricted radiotelephony certificate (BZF II) in order to communicate effectively in controlled airspace and at airports. The phraseology and communication procedures are intensively practiced using the example of Düsseldorf Airport (EDDL) in groups of a maximum of 6 participants.
The seminar's content covers a broad range of topics:
Legal frameworks
Participants gain insights into the legal regulations and provisions governing radiotelephony communication in aviation. This includes the responsibilities of the various aeronautical radio services, communication obligations in different airspaces, and the importance of adhering to procedures and protocols.
Aviation radios and technology
The seminar provides an understanding of how aviation radios, frequencies, emergency frequencies, and the use of radio communication channels work. Participants get to know the technology behind air traffic communication and gain practical insights into operating the equipment.
Radiotelephony procedure
Prospective pilots learn fundamental radiotelephony procedures, including the correct message format, entering airspace, communication with air traffic controllers and air traffic assistant controllers, as well as executing arrival and departure procedures at airports.
emergency communication
The seminar also covers emergency communication, including the use of emergency frequencies and communication in emergency situations. Participants are prepared for situations where quick and precise communication is of vital importance.
Exercises and simulation practice
A practice-oriented approach enables participants to apply what they have learned through practical exercises and simulations.
Exam Preparation
The seminar prepares participants for the theoretical examination for the BZF II by imparting the necessary knowledge and familiarizing you with the exam questions and formats.
The seminar provides prospective pilots with a solid foundation to communicate safely and effectively in controlled airspace and at airports. Participants not only acquire the necessary theoretical knowledge, but also have the opportunity to practice and perfect their practical communication skills. From 6 participants onwards, the travel expenses of the examination board in accordance with the Federal Travel Expenses Act are included. The examination is conducted as an external examination by the Federal Network Agency for Electricity, Gas, Telecommunications, Post and Railway carried out. For the exact schedule, we will be guided by your requirements.
